GETTING TO CARTAGENA

Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) is accessible via direct flight from several cities across the U.S., South America, and Europe — for example:

New York City: Avianca, Jetblue

Miami: Avianca, American

Fort Lauderdale: Spirit, Jetblue

Atlanta: Delta

Lima: LATAM

Amsterdam: KLM

Bogotá: LATAM, Avianca, Copa

Passports & VISAS

To avoid problems when boarding your flight, make sure your passport expires more than 6 months after your travel dates.

A visa is not required to enter Colombia from most countries in the world (if you’re a citizen of the US, a Schengen state, or the Comunidad Andina — you’re all good).

AIRPORT TRANSFER

The airport is approximately a 10 minute drive from the Old City. We recommend arranging a private transfer via the hotel or taking a taxi upon arrival (note that taxis tend to only take local currency).

TRAVEL BEYOND CARTAGENA

Are you considering traveling elsewhere in Colombia or South America right before or after the wedding weekend? That’s amazing!

We recommend Travel Colombia Direct for any questions you may have regarding travel in Colombia.

For ideas on itineraries outside Colombia (think Perú, Argentina, Bolivia, or Brazil), feel free to reach out to us!

Also, note that the weekend after our wedding happens to be Carnaval weekend in many South American cities. (A few of our guests are already concocting trips to Carnaval in Barranquilla, Río de Janeiro, etc!)
